Just a typical Friday night in.  Did a little house cleaning, ordered some delivery – salmon sashimi and spicy tuna, and settled in for 93 minutes of beer bongs, weed bongs, cornrows and an infinite amount of gyrating bare breast shots.
After I got over my initial State Collage sorority girl nostalgia (earmuffs Mom) and my overwhelming attraction to James Franco (earmuffs Dad) I couldn’t help but think that Harmony Korine is mocking us – and we deserve it.  I can’t remember the last time I sat with friends at a social function when I didn’t see the back of their phone at least 60% of the time.  My 2-year old niece has already discovered how to take selfie’s and her twin brother navigates his way through my phone to get to Icona Pop’s “I Love It” faster than you can say nap time.
The main character in this film is by far the video-game like imagery.  But the award for supporting role goes to the outfits!  I immediately started thumbing through my internal closet rolodex – high waisted cut offs, anything and everything neon, sneakers right out of ’98, ironic trucker hats and beenie’s, mirrored Oakley’s, and bikini’s bikini’s bikini’s.  Just need my unicorn ski mask.  Thank goodness for our friends at Etsy.
Can’t wait for Halloween!  Accepting applications for Alien and the ATL twins.
