Tomorrow is the first day of market week for our showroom. And as we scurry to prep our samples, swatches, and buyer refreshments (candy corn for Oct market too predictable?), the one and only thing on my mind on this Sunday eve is what am I going to wear!!??
Rather than succumb to the temptation to head to the shops for some fresh duds, I decided to browse my favorite blogs and street style experts in hopes they would inspire some ensembles already resting in my very own repertoire.
As I’d hoped, I found image after image of ways I can combine my items to look like the finger-on-the-pulse, trend savvy, pulled together fashionista our customers expect to see in our meetings next week!
Pulled from today’s Who What Wear. Leather skirt with casual sweatshirt or sweater. Mine is more of a pencil but this is definitely do-able.
Thanks to Karla, I will be pulling out my navy highwaisted wide leg trousers and pairing those with a navy worn-in tee for a monochromatic look.
Sincerely Jules reminded me that I have forgotten about all my chandelier earrings! She has it right when she unexpectedly accessorizes casual outfits with these.
Jules practically stole this long-sleeve fem shirtdress from my closet.
Beaded drapey jacket with rock tee, ripped up boyfriend’s and strappy sandals. Done and done-r. Thanks again Jules!
The Glamourai found a way to update my menswear trousers by cuffing the hem, adding sexy open toe’d shoe booties and a print mixed sweater with peek-a-boo collar. (yes, I actually have all of this. But stopping at the crown)
The love of my life, Man Repeller, letting me off super comfy on this day. Boyfriend ripped jeans, pop heel (mine will be turquoise) sweatshirt from the adolescent boys section and an oversized/over-the-top/statement necklace.
Metallic coated denim skinnies, rock tee, modern blazer, pointy flats. Check all of the above for Sea of Shoes and me!
For tomorrow’s 90 degree forecast: high neck victorian blouse (mine is short sleeved) back to cut off’s and a boho sandal. Bun not optional.
The Spring 2014 runways had blocks of maroon and bright red combinations everywhere and here is Fashion Toast doing it her way. This is where my poppy hue’d wide legs from H&M will meet my Topshop wine color’d crop tank.
Who needs a stylist when you have these gals!?
