I had the pleasure of accompanying my 13 and 15 year old nieces to mall yesterday. My goal was to escort them to all the coolest shops who target adorable, trend-setting teens like themselves. Rather than observe from my sophisticated 32 year old distance, I couldn’t help but partake in some trendy, fast fashion retail therapy!
First stop – Forever 21 where I scored this gigantic faux croc travel tote for $27.80. Enough space for laptop, neck pillow, 8-12 mags, etc…AND, compliments my grey suede and black snakeskin handbag from Madewell that will be my Fall carryall for the 2nd season in a row. No longer available but similar one here.
Next stop – Urban Outfitters! After I grilled the girls on every item in the store that is from M&L (always workin) I spotted this VPL-esque bra top and had to have it for all of my low armhole muscle tees. Just the edgy layering garment I have been searching for, and for $24 bones I couldn’t say no.
I usually leave the boy-short, cotton based knickers to my biz partner and gravitate towards the lace-y, more femmy versions. But at 4 for $19 I thought I would give these kitchy printed pairs a shot. Took one for a test drive already and survey says: RIDICULOUS COMFY!
Last stop – Brandy Melville. Where the waists are high and the 90’s aesthetic is lost on most of the tween customers. I happen to love this trendy hot spot, and can’t wait to rock this little update to my grey crew neck tee with everything I own. (not offered online for some reason, so here’s a super profess IPhone pic)
